Welcome to the website of Eastern Region WEA. We hope these pages will be of interest both to those who are already involved in WEA activities and those who want to get to know the WEA better.

The WEA develops, provides and promotes community and adult learning through network and partnership working as well as through its local branches run by volunteers. This helps us to identify local needs and reach a wide range of potential learners.

The regional staff team organises and supports approximately 1000 courses each year, which are taught by more than 300 professional course tutors within a quality framework. This provision attracts more than 8,000 individual learners (14,000 enrolments) each year.
